At Boca Raton Regional Hospital’s Eugene M. & Christine E. Lynn Cancer Institute, we realize that care for cancer patients shouldn’t stop when treatment ends. That’s why we’ve developed seminars to help patients who have recently completed therapy transition into survivorship.
Your treatment has ended. But your care should never stop.
Survivorship Life Reclaimed | Boca Raton Hospital (brrh.com) -
Acupuncture may help balance and harmonize your mind and body. It’s a safe and effective way to naturally treat many health issues. Treatment involves the use of sterile, single-use needles to stimulate one or more points on your body to promote the flow of internal energy.
Onco-acupuncture may help cancer-related side effects, including:
- Anxiety
- Depression
- Dry mouth
- Fatigue
- Headache
- Hot flashes
- Loss of taste
- Nausea
- Pain
- Peripheral neuropathy
- Vomiting
Community acupuncture, also known as group acupuncture, is often used as a way to introduce new patients to acupuncture or as a more affordable treatment option. Many of those who practice this technique and participate feel strongly that an additional benefit of community/group acupuncture is the healing energy generated in the room during a group session.
When: Friday appointments available. Treatments are approximately 30 minutes.
Where: Lynn Cancer Institute – Sandler Pavilion
Cost: $20 per session.
Call 561-955-5406 for availability and to book your treatment.*If you are currently undergoing treatment, we require a prescription from your treating physician.
