A Team Approach to Inpatient Rehabilitation Services
The patient’s rehabilitation team meets weekly to discuss treatment goals, review progress, establish or revise treatment plans and set the discharge date. This interdisciplinary approach ensures that all team members are working with the patient and caregiver toward the same goals.
During the Patient’s Stay
In addition to three hours of therapy five days each week, patients are encouraged to participate in activities to help them return to their previous routine of daily living. We recommend that patients wear comfortable clothing and sneakers throughout their stay.
Continuing with Outpatient Rehabilitation Services
When inpatient rehabilitation is no longer required, the patient’s physician and rehabilitation team might recommend that therapy be continued in an outpatient setting. Baptist Health’s outpatient rehabilitation services help patients make a smooth transition back to daily life at several convenient locations to help them continue their recovery.
