    Brian J. Schiro, M.D., RPVI, FSIR, stands at the forefront of vascular and interventional radiology, serving as a beacon of excellence at Baptist Health Miami Cardiac & Vascular Institute. He is an interventional radiologist with Radiology Associates of South Florida and is associated with Baptist Hospital of Miami, West Kendall Baptist Hospital and South Miami Hospital. With a wealth of expertise, he holds the pivotal role of medical director of the Noninvasive Vascular Lab at Baptist Hospital and Doctors Hospital, ensuring the highest standards of patient care. As a distinguished board member of the Intersocietal Accreditation Commission (IAC) for Vascular Testing, Dr. Schiro’s commitment to quality assurance and patient safety is unparalleled.

    Dr. Schiro’s journey began with his fellowship training at Miami Cardiac & Vascular Institute in Vascular and Interventional Radiology in 2010, following a distinguished residency in Diagnostic Radiology at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center. Today, he proudly serves as program director for the Baptist Health South Florida Independent Interventional Radiology Residency, shaping the future of the field. Dr. Schiro’s practice encompasses the full spectrum of interventional procedures, from venous and arterial interventions to interventional oncology. His dedication to advancing medical science is evident in his research pursuits, which focus on peripheral arterial disease, aortic aneurysms and vascular testing. With a passion for innovation and a commitment to excellence, Dr. Schiro continues to make significant contributions to the field of vascular and interventional radiology, ensuring optimal patient outcomes and advancing the frontiers of medical knowledge. Dr. Schiro is our Interventional Radiology Rotation Director and will be developing the didactic content for our vascular imaging sessions.

Dr. Gandhi’s commitment to surgical excellence was evident as he completed a rigorous internship at Cornell University Medical Center and New York Presbyterian Hospital. Furthering his expertise, Dr. Gandhi undertook residency training and fellowship at UCLA Medical Center. Presently, Dr. Gandhi holds positions as an associate clinical professor at both the University of South Florida School of Medicine and FIU Herbert Wertheim College of Medicine. In these roles, he not only imparts his vast knowledge but also contributes to shaping the next generation of medical professionals. Dr. Gandhi’s commitment to advancing healthcare extends beyond academia. He is a dedicated mentor, regularly conducting training sessions to equip fellow physicians in various vascular/endovascular, interventional radiology and interventional oncology techniques.     Dr. Geronemus is a leading vascular and interventional radiologist at Baptist Health Miami Cardiac & Vascular Institute. Beyond his clinical practice, Dr. Geronemus serves as an affiliate assistant professor in the Department of Radiology at the University of South Florida and as a clinical assistant professor in the Department of Radiology at Florida International University Herbert Wertheim College of Medicine. Dr. Geronemus has expertise in the minimally invasive treatment of uterine fibroids and is co-medical director of the Fibroid Center at the South Miami Hospital Center for Women and Infants. In addition to uterine fibroid embolization, other interests include the endovascular treatment of peripheral arterial disease, venous disease, thoracic and abdominal aortic aneurysms, as well as minimally invasive interventional oncological procedures and medical education. He has published journal articles, book chapters and lectured at national and international conferences on these topics. Dr. Geronemus has been a program director for both the International Symposium on Endovascular Therapy and the Clinical Interventional Oncology Symposium since 2009. Dr. Geronemus currently is a Board Member and member of the Executive Committee for Radiology Associates of South Florida. Additionally, Dr. Geronemus chairs the Interventional Radiology Committee for MEDNAX Radiology that coordinates planning, strategic growth and manpower assessments for several practices throughout the United States.

He further honed his skills through a residency in diagnostic radiology at St. Barnabas Medical Center in Livingston, New Jersey. Dr. Narayanan pursued fellowships in interventional radiology at the Medical University of South Carolina in Charleston and Stony Brook University Hospital in New York. Board-certified in diagnostic radiology with a Certificate of Added Qualification in interventional radiology, Dr. Narayanan’s commitment to excellence is unwavering. In addition to his clinical practice, Dr. Narayanan serves as a professor of radiology at Florida International University Herbert Wertheim College of Medicine, where he shares his wealth of knowledge with the next generation of medical professionals. Dr. Narayanan’s primary clinical research interests lie in pancreatic, liver and colon cancer, areas where he has made significant contributions to the field.
