Physician Spotlight

Lloyd Berkowitz, M.D., is a board-certified medical oncologist at the Eugene M. & Christine E. Lynn Cancer Institute, part of Baptist Health, at Boca Raton Regional Hospital. He specializes in the treatment of advanced melanoma and other skin cancers, urological cancers and gynecological cancers.

Prior to joining Lynn Cancer Institute in 1990, Dr. Berkowitz worked as a medical oncologist at Hartsdale Medical Group in Hartsdale, N.Y. He was chief resident of his residency program at Bronx Municipal Hospital Center and served as chief of medicine at Boca Raton Community Hospital. He is a member of the American Society of Clinical Oncology, American Medical Association, Palm Beach Medical Society and Florida Medical Association.

Dr. Berkowitz’s care philosophy is to put himself in the patient’s situation and have honest, open communication. He wants to know his patients personally, not just their diagnosis and treatment. When he is not seeing patients, Dr. Berkowitz enjoys spending time with family, watching movies and playing golf
