Danielle Press, M.D., FACS, is a board-certified endocrine surgeon at Baptist Health Miami Cancer Institute. She specializes in the surgical treatment of diseases affecting the thyroid, parathyroid and adrenal glands.
Dr. Press serves as clinical assistant professor of surgery at Sidney Kimmel Medical College, Thomas Jefferson University in Philadelphia, Pa. Prior to joining Baptist Health, she was an endocrine and general surgeon at ChristianaCare, located in Newark, Del., and assistant director of the health system’s general surgery residency.
Dr. Press earned her medical degree at Drexel University College of Medicine in Philadelphia, Pa. She completed a general surgery residency at Lehigh Valley Health Network, in Allentown, Pa. She also completed an endocrine surgery fellowship and endocrine surgery research fellowship at Cleveland Clinic in Cleveland, Ohio.
Dr. Press’ research interests include parathyroid and thyroid disease, as well as pheochromocytoma and other adrenal disorders. She has published articles on these topics in peer-reviewed endocrine surgery journals. She is a fellow of the American College of Surgeons and the American Association of Endocrine Surgeons and a member of other professional associations.
Dr. Press takes time to listen to her patients, understand their goals and help them create a treatment plan that highlights their priorities. Since each patient is different, she renders an assessment and outlines personalized treatment options to achieve their desired outcomes.
When she is not treating patients, Dr. Press enjoys exercising, running, yoga, diving, hiking with her dog, traveling around the world, having asados with her family and spending time with her husband.
