According to Mr. Bellmas, Baptist Health cares for hundreds of thousands of patients a year at its 25 Urgent Care and Urgent Care Express locations. He says that the “Save My Spot” feature is all about making healthcare more convenient.

“Whether it’s shopping, dining, transportation or whatever, today’s consumers expect the promise of a digital experience that offers access, convenience and ease of use,” Mr. Bellmas says. “Baptist Health has always been aninnovator in the delivery of health care, and this is just one of the many wayswe’re making it easier for consumers to access the care they need.”

Mr. Bellmas says the only reason why someone witha reservation might have a short wait would be if another patient arrivedat the same time with a serious condition requiring immediate treatment.

The new “Save My Spot” feature is already proving popular, accordingto Mr. Bellmas, but he is quick to note that walk-in patients are alwayswelcome at any Baptist Health Urgent Care or Urgent Care Express location.

“Our Urgent Care centers are open every single day of the year, and many of them are open 12, 16, or even 24 hours a day,” Mr. Bellmas says. “Most patients are seen within 10 minutes and we do everything we can to help them feel better right away; in many cases, we can even send them home with their prescription medicines in hand. We want the experience to be as convenient as possible.”
