He embarked his career as an overnight pharmacist at Doctors Hospital while simultaneously working part-time as a retail pharmacist at Publix. After five years on the overnight shift, he obtained the board certification in pharmacotherapy.
Currently, Dr. Hernandez is the Transitions of Care pharmacist specialist. One aspect of his current role that brings me immense satisfaction is engaging with patients to discuss their medication regimens. He takes pride in being a patient advocate, closely collaborating with physicians to ensure patients have access to their prescribed medications and can effectively adhere to their treatment plans. Through his experiences, Dr Hernandez developed a passion for promoting medication safety, optimizing therapeutic outcomes, and championing patient-centered care. He is excited to continue leveraging my skills and expertise to positively impact patient health and contribute to the advancement of the pharmacy profession as a preceptor.
