Dolphins Family Fit Fest is happening tomorrow. As spring fades into summer, barbecue season begins. It’s a time to enjoy savory and refreshing dishes in the great outdoors. While enjoying time with family and friends, it’s easy to get caught up in the fun and forget about basic food safety.
Unsafe food handling can be a potentially hazardous health situation. Simple mistakes like accidentally cross-contaminating food, or forgetting to pack enough ice to keep your supplies cold can be avoided by following these basic food safety and nutrition tips to ensure your grilling, tailgating and picnics stay healthy.
Miami Dolphins Family Fit Fest Presented by Baptist Health South Florida will be held on Saturday, April 18, from 10:30 a.m. to 3 p.m., at the Doctors Hospital Training Facility at Nova Southeastern University, 7500 SW 30 Street, in Davie. Admission is free. The event will feature health screenings, interactive fitness activities, play zones, snacks and refreshments, raffles and giveaways.
