Miami Cancer Institute offers many support groups to help patients during all stages of cancer.
In the video below, breast cancer patient Abigail Johnston tells of her experience with the Metastatic Support Group. “The people who’ve been exactly where you’re at can answer your questions in a very different way than someone that has never experienced the same thing you are experiencing,” she explains. “Support groups are perfect for this.”
The Institute offers different support groups for people “at different places in their diagnosis and their age,” she adds.
“A support group is where no one feels alone,” she says.
