Two of Palm Beach County’s best-known multispecialty physician practices, BocaCare® and 22 physicians from Bethesda Health Physician Group, have come together to form Baptist Health Medical Group North.
This newly aligned physician group gives residents and visitors access to a comprehensive network of clinicians committed to managing patients’ current and long-term healthcare needs. Now, more than ever, as the COVID-19 pandemic continues to spread, it is essential to continue prioritizing your health. That means regular visits with your physician — whether in person or virtually via telehealth.
“While our community may soon begin to notice some visual changes, the professional connections and patient relationships these physicians have cultivated in this area for decades will remain in place — with a bright future ahead for additional growth,” says Lincoln Mendez, CEO of
Boca Raton Regional Hospital and Baptist Health Medical Group North.
Baptist Health South Florida is recognized as a trusted healthcare organization that provides expert patient- and family-centered care, delivered when and how patients want it. From traditional in-office visits, strengthened with advanced safety measures to ensure social distancing, to the convenience of virtual telehealth visits from the comfort of home, Baptist Health Medical Group North is the latest example of the organization’s commitment to the health, safety and well-being of the Palm Beach County community.
“As the population of Palm Beach County continues to grow, Baptist Health Medical Group North will play a key role in ensuring patients in our communities have access to physicians that are invested in their health,” says Nelson Lazo, CEO of Bethesda Hospital East and Bethesda Hospital
West. “As the county’s health needs evolve, we’ll evolve with them.”
The new physician group will work closely with Baptist Health Medical Group, which also operates physician offices in Broward, Miami-Dade and Monroe counties. The Palm Beach County community now has referral access to the entire 11-hospital Baptist Health network, including renowned centers of excellence in cancer, cardiovascular care, orthopedics and sports medicine, and neurosciences.
Past patient satisfaction studies give the group’s physicians high marks for their empathy and compassion for patients’ worries and concerns.
Patients also stated they have high confidence in these providers because they take the necessary time to use clear language to concisely communicate and explain patients’ problems and conditions, while including the patients in treatment discussions and decision making.
“Our physicians now working under the Baptist Health Medical Group North banner share a common mission to prevent, treat and manage acute and chronic illnesses and diseases through ethical, evidence-based clinical practices. We are proud of our record of excellent patient safety and
our satisfied patients, providers and employees,” says Gerald Robinson, M.D., vice president and physician lead for BocaCare®.
Baptist Health’s culture of innovation will further benefit Palm Beach patient care. A new mobile app debuting in 2021 will make delivery and coordination of care even easier for patients.
